…But our survey tells us over 50% of SM job applications may not be getting one
How is it that a company that advertised for someone with your exact skills and experience (sometimes even picked you out from the Freelist and asked you to apply) can’t even be bothered to acknowledge your carefully put together application, or let you know if you weren’t successful?
We know many members dont think that this is right and neither do we- in fact we think it is downright rude and bad manners on the part of employers who need our skills to run their shows!
The survey provides SMA with valuable information to show to Freelist users and other stage management employers and remind them of their responsibilities.
We will report the results fully in SMAgenda and to the wider theatre community in May
